Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our vibrant school community in Lincoln. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with their learning, ensuring they reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need extra help.
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons tailored to individual needs.
  • Help with classroom management and maintain a supportive learning atmosphere.
  • Encourage student engagement and participation in classroom activities.
  • Monitor and report on student progress to teachers and parents.
  • Support students with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND).
  • Foster a safe and nurturing environment for all students.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
  • A passion for working with children and helping them succeed.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
  • SEN relevant work experience.
  • Possess an enhanced DBS on the update service, or be willing to have one processed immediately.
