The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Sales Executive to join our team at Abbott Molecular. This role focuses on maximizing sales in a territory primarily driven by new customer acquisition. The ideal candidate will be based along the M4 corridor, covering the South UK region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities using multiple data sources.
  • Understand the UK NHS and Ireland HSE laboratory network strategically.
  • Manage and coordinate tender processes.
  • Conduct workflow analysis for lab design visualization.
  • Engage with government bodies for new assay/testing algorithm approvals.
  • Negotiate with third-party companies for Managed Service Contracts.

Post-Sale Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with Legal Counsel for contract negotiations.
  • Manage customer relationships until transition to local Ambassador.
  • Act as project manager for the implementation process from system delivery to go-live.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain and Customer Service to ensure timely stock delivery.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Support new product development with local market insights.
  • Provide feedback to global functions for product improvement.
  • Conduct market analysis and competitive intelligence.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor or Master degree or equivalent in the Diagnostics industry.
  • Experience in retaining existing business and driving growth.
  • Strong understanding of key stakeholders and customer dynamics.
  • Strong solution selling and relationship building skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Fluent in local language and English.
