Job Title: Maritime Systems Design Engineer

Ultra Electronics Group is seeking an experienced Maritime Systems Design Engineer to join our team in developing innovative defence solutions. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, collaborating with our customers to deliver multi-mission solutions that protect and empower naval forces worldwide.

About the Role

This hybrid role combines working from home and being on-site as necessary, with occasional UK & International travel. We are open to working remotely full-time with the need to be onsite occasionally. As a Maritime Systems Design Engineer, you will work closely with the Systems Design Authority within a multi-disciplined team, contributing to the development of complex products across Technology Readiness Levels.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • An appreciation of designing complex products
  • Systems design experience, with an understanding of Electronics, Mechanical, and Software
  • Experience of working throughout the development lifecycle (design through to integration, verification, validation, and qualification)
  • Expertise in trade-off analysis
