Executive Assistant to the Chief Strategy Officer

Join the Natural Hazards Commission Toka Túu Ake team as an Executive Assistant to the Chief Strategy Officer. This role provides administrative support to the Chief Strategy Officer and the wider strategy team, ensuring the smooth operation of the team's activities.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, supporting the development of strategies to mitigate natural hazards in New Zealand. As an Executive Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing administrative support to the Chief Strategy Officer, including budgeting, invoicing, correspondence, and travel arrangements
  • Coordinating meetings, events, and other activities as required
  • Developing and maintaining databases and other systems to support the team's activities
  • Providing high-level administrative support to the wider strategy team
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Experience in a similar role at an executive level
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
