Climate17 is a leading recruitment firm specializing in renewable energy and sustainability. We are partnering with a renowned renewable energy developer to find a highly skilled Director of Renewable Energy Development.
Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Renewable Energy Development to lead the development of utility-scale and community-scale renewable energy projects in the MISO, PJM, SPP, and ERCOT regions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving projects from inception to Notice to Proceed (NTP) while ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development of utility-scale and/or community-scale projects in the assigned regions (MISO, PJM, SPP, and/or ERCOT).
- Drive projects from inception to NTP, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Develop and execute strategic plans for project development and geographic expansion.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
- Mentor and grow a small team of development professionals, fostering a collaborative and dynamic team culture.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5 years of MISO, PJM, SPP, and ERCOT renewable energy project development experience.
- Proven experience in utility-scale and/or community-scale renewable energy project development.
- Proven success in full lifecycle project development taking projects from greenfield to NTP.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and environmental standards.
- Proficiency with financial modeling, budgeting, etc.
