Job Title: Machine Operator - Packing Department

Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Machine Operator to join our team in the Packing Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining packaging machinery, ensuring high-quality products and efficient production processes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain packaging machinery, including the roll pack bundler machine and log saw.
  • Change polyethylene reels and feed the machine with skillets or cases.
  • Stop and restart machines as needed, and perform small maintenance activities and adjustments.
  • Manage machinery changeovers and support colleagues as required.
  • Ensure a high level of housekeeping and adherence to health and safety rules.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a production or operator role, preferably in a heavy industry background.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • DBS checks will be carried out on day 1 of the assignment.
