We are seeking an experienced Consultant in Diabetes, Endocrinology and General Internal Medicine to join our team at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant in this role, you will be responsible for developing the Diabetes Technologies Service and enhancing the quality of Antenatal Diabetes care. Additionally, you will lead the Lipid Service with support from a Biochemist and a Specialist Pharmacist.
Main Responsibilities:- Provide specialist in-reach to the Acute Medical Unit (ACU) and see diabetes and endocrinology in patient referrals.
- Provide diabetes advice and clinical care to the diabetes antenatal service.
- Mentor and supervise the training of junior medical staff on the team in conjunction with the other consultant physicians in the department.

- Primary medical qualification MBChB or equivalent.
- Relevant certificate of completion of training (CCT) in General Internal Medicine, Diabetes and Endocrinology, or equivalent.
- A broad training which demonstrates appropriate experience in and a positive attitude towards Diabetes and Endocrinology. Ability to form good professional relationships with all departments and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience of supervision of junior medical staff and relevant staff in other disciplines staff.
