About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resident Engineer to join our team at Crown Lift Trucks Ltd. As a key member of our service and maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out service and repairs to equipment on customer sites in a safe, professional, and cost-effective manner.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or hydraulics, and will be able to work independently and as part of a team. You will be responsible for monitoring the safety of the repaired and maintained trucks, accurately completing job sheets, timesheets, and purchase requisition and parts paperwork, and taking responsibility for all equipment and tooling.

To be considered for this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of at least one of the following areas: mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or hydraulics. You will also need to be able to work to strict planned schedules and deadlines, and have excellent communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out service and repairs to equipment on customer sites in a safe, professional, and cost-effective manner.
  • Monitor the safety of the repaired and maintained trucks.
  • Accurately complete job sheets, timesheets, and purchase requisition and parts paperwork.
  • Take responsibility for all equipment and tooling.
  • Work to strict planned schedules and deadlines.
