At Teledyne Technologies, we're pushing the boundaries of innovation in various growth markets. Our team is seeking a skilled Workshop and Prototyping Manager to collaborate with development teams, driving the creation of cutting-edge prototypes and proof-of-concept models.

Workshop Management
  • Oversee daily workshop operations, ensuring equipment maintenance and safe usage.
  • Manage inventory of materials and tools, guaranteeing availability and proper storage.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance workshop facilities and implement strategic developments.
  • Arrange training for workshop users and promote best practices.
Prototyping and Fabrication
  • Design and manufacture prototypes, jigs, fixtures, and proof-of-concept models using various materials and techniques.
  • Manage multiple prototyping projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines.
  • Provide manufacturing support for other business functions as required.
  • Proficiency in machine tools, rapid prototyping techniques, and 3D CAD software (preferably SolidWorks).
  • Part inspection and measurement techniques, physical assembly, and testing of designs.
  • Awareness of health and safety practices and creation of risk assessments.
  • Knowledge of mass production processes, such as injection molding and die-casting.

This role requires a suitable qualification in Mechanical Engineering (HND or BSc/BEng) and fluency in English, both verbal and written. The successful candidate will work closely with the team on-site, 5 days a week. This position involves access to export-controlled information or items, and all employees must comply with applicable laws, regulations, rules, and regulatory orders.
