The Mechanical Responsible Engineer will collaborate with the team to select and develop optimised, balanced, and practical design solutions, balancing aspects of safety and environmental performance, operational effectiveness, and constructability.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a team of discipline engineers in the definition, implementation, and delivery of specified functional work
  • Setting the assurance strategy and ensuring correct stakeholder buy-in
  • Carrying out effective and proportionate risk management and assurance activities
  • Collaborating in the selection and development of optimised, balanced, and practical design solutions

Requirements for the role include:

  • Qualified Chartered Engineer
  • At least 8 years of experience in relevant project design work
  • Experience of Front End Engineering Design, Options generation, and down selection
  • Experience in leading a team
