About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Clinical Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team at The Harborne Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading clinical pharmacy services to all non-cancer areas and specialties across the hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead clinical pharmacy services to all non-cancer areas and specialties across the hospital
  • Oversee clinical development, education, and training to ensure continuous development of members of the Pharmacy and multidisciplinary team
  • Lead quality and process improvement projects to enhance pharmacy services
  • Provide leadership for and support the technical team to ensure responsive dispensary services
  • Line manage Senior and Junior Pharmacy Staff and support the development of other pharmacy staff
  • Lead, develop, and deliver clinical pharmacy services to specialty areas, including cardiovascular, orthopaedic, spinal, digestive diseases, and transplant services
  • Assist with the quality, governance, and assurance of pharmacy services
Requirements
  • Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council, with a BPharm, MPharm, or BSC in Pharmacy
  • Additional postgraduate clinical qualification, e.g., Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or other relevant post-graduation qualification
  • Extensive hospital experience
  • Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (desirable)
  • Specialist clinical pharmacy knowledge and experience in specialties including cardiovascular, orthopaedic, and spinal, digestive diseases, and transplant services
