Cresconova Labs in London is on the hunt for an exceptional Makerspace Manager and Instructor to lead our innovative educational courses. As a seasoned educator, you'll be responsible for instructing students aged 8 to 18 in a collaborative, project-based environment. With a strong background in design thinking, you'll be perfectly suited to create engaging maker space courses.

As a key member of our team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experience at Cresconova Labs. Your experience in hybrid learning models, content and pedagogical expertise, dedication to collaboration, and creative approach to design instruction will make you an ideal candidate for this position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support instructors in content areas
  • Ensure all operations comply with safety, hygiene, and safeguarding standards
  • Manage various tools (rapid prototyping, ceramics, fabric design, wood shop, desktop CNC, AR/VR)
  • Oversight of machinery in all classrooms
  • Ability to work independently
  • Open communication with the Chief Creative Officer
  • Collaborative work with colleagues on in-person and hybrid courses

Required qualifications:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 3 years successful teaching experience with students in primary and secondary education
  • Experience teaching Architecture, AutoCAD, and 3D Design
  • Experience with inquiry-based and/or project-based learning
  • Passion for learning and ability to motivate and inspire students
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community
  • Willingness to take on multiple roles within the learning center

Preferred qualifications:

  • Degree in academic/research field and/or professional experience within your area of practice
  • Demonstrated capacity and desire to teach across multiple disciplines/subject areas
  • Experience in and desire to build culture and community with both adults and students
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing collaborative relationships with external partners/organizations
