Job Overview

The Hampshire Hive Assistant Team Manager role is a key position within our Fostering Hampshire Children service, working closely with Foster Carers and their families to provide support and guidance.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to join our team as a Hampshire Hive Assistant Team Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Hive Carer Support Workers, who work closely with Foster Carers to create and sustain effective peer support networks.

You will work alongside Supervising Social Workers, Placement Commissioning and Child in Care teams to deliver and develop the Hampshire Hives. Your primary focus will be on creating a supportive environment for Foster Carers, providing them with the necessary tools and resources to thrive in their roles.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead and manage a team of Hive Carer Support Workers, ensuring they have the necessary training and support to effectively support Foster Carers.
  2. Work closely with Supervising Social Workers, Placement Commissioning and Child in Care teams to ensure seamless delivery and development of the Hampshire Hives.
  3. Develop and implement strategies to enhance the effectiveness of the Hampshire Hives, ensuring they meet the needs of Foster Carers and children in care.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with Foster Carers and their families.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
