At Heartstrings Pet Hospice, In-Home Euthanasia & Aftercare, we are seeking an experienced veterinarian to join our team as a compassionate care specialist. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated and empathetic individual who wants to make a difference in the lives of pets and their families.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) degree and at least 1 year of experience as a practicing veterinarian. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing in-home euthanasia and hospice care for geriatric and terminally ill pets, guiding families in making end-of-life decisions, and building relationships with local veterinary clinics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, compassionate care to pets and their families
  • Guide families through the end-of-life decision-making process
  • Build strong relationships with local veterinary clinics
Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
  • 1+ year(s) experience as a practicing veterinarian
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. assisted
  • Capable of walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, crawling, stooping, standing, and reaching consistently during the workday
  • Comfortable with prolonged periods of driving
  • Demonstrated manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and the ability to maintain steady hands while using medical tools
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including health insurance, mileage reimbursement, quarterly productivity bonuses, retirement plan, life insurance, paid time off, bereavement leave, and paid parental leave.
