Job Title: Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary:
SWIFT Temps Ltd Engineering Division is recruiting an experienced Maintenance and Electrical Maintenance Specialist to work for our client in Keighley on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical maintenance and be able to provide support for a range of machinery including shrink wrappers, conveyors, generators, chillers, and bottling machinery. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to identify and repair faults in electrical and mechanical systems. Additionally, the successful candidate will be able to assist with projects and the installation of new plant, and communicate effectively with the engineering manager.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide electrical and mechanical maintenance to a range of machinery
• React to urgent breakdowns, reducing machine downtime to a minimum
• Electrical repairs to motors, drivers, inverters, encoders, boards, wiring, switches, relays, contractors, and sensors
• PLC fault finding and interrogation to trace back faults
• Recording and commissioning of all fault findings
• Assisting with projects and the installation of new plant
• Communicating effectively with the engineering manager
• Assisting the development and implementation of line improvements, new installations, and office repairs
• Planned maintenance and other tasks deemed appropriate by the engineering manager

Requirements:
• Relevant Apprentice training or relevant qualifications
• Electronics/PLC
• Pneumatics
• Mechanical engineering
• Mig Tig welding
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Fault finding and maintenance experience
• Experience in the food and drinks manufacturing industry
• Core hours of 48 hours per week, based around 5 days per week, Monday to Saturday
• Salary: £55,000-£60,000, dependent on experience
