Job Title: Environmental and Quality Manager

ZipRecruiter is seeking an experienced Environmental and Quality Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing our Quality Assurance, Environmental, and Health and Safety systems to maintain ISO and IATF16949 accreditation.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of ensuring Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and standards are applied, creating a culture of safety first to ensure a healthy and safe working environment. You will work cross-functionally with other department heads to improve the working environment and business processes, ensuring the successful continuance of business operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement Quality Management Systems (QMS) and procedures to ensure process compliance and deploy internal QMS audit processes to deliver ongoing ISO9001 / IATF16949 certification.
  2. Support the development and implementation of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Control Plans, and Process Controls in accordance with IATF and customer requirements.
  3. Monitor customer, plant, and supplier quality performance and provide rapid response for quality problems, driving robust problem-solving activities to resolve issues and concerns.
  4. Conduct supplier evaluations and audits to IATF, quality, environmental, and safety requirements.
  5. Ensure all risk assessments are reviewed periodically to ensure their suitability for business needs and conformity to regulatory requirements.
  6. Coordinate regular fire drills and liaise with the Operations Manager to ensure fire alert and suppression systems are well maintained and monitored.
Requirements:
  1. Ownership over quality management.
  2. Internal QMS/process auditing experience and qualifications (ISO9001/IATF16949).
  3. Knowledge and practical skills using Microsoft Office tools.
  4. Proven hands-on HSE experience, working with external contractors.
