Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data and Research Specialist to join our team at the Digital Preservation Coalition.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the development and implementation of open science principles, FAIR data practices, and research data management strategies. The ideal candidate will have experience in data management, reuse, and curation, as well as a strong understanding of open research principles and FAIR data principles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to international projects such as FAIR's FAIR, EOSCPilot, and FAIR4Health
  • Provide consultancy services to research-performing organisations, policy-makers, and others
  • Develop and deliver training programs on data management and curation best practices
  • Participate in events and conferences to promote open science and FAIR data principles
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in data management and reuse
  • Strong understanding of open research principles and FAIR data principles
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including:
