Job Summary:

The Telecoms Engineer will be responsible for assisting with the remote commissioning and completion of call testing/integration activities to support project delivery. This role requires a strong understanding of telecommunications systems and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with the remote commissioning activities on site as per assigned project(s).
  2. Complete site call testing/integration activities in accordance with project process and requirements.
  3. Perform all duties safely and to industry best practice.
  4. Assist with the completion and submission of project reports/paperwork.
  5. Receive and check issued job paperwork from the office.
  6. Understand and adhere to company policies and processes.
  7. Maintain any company issued vehicles and equipment with respect and to a high standard, reporting all issues with issued vehicle and equipment in a timely manner to the appropriate persons.
  8. Identify any training requirements where relevant.
  9. Assist support staff where required.
  10. Perform non-standard works as required.
  11. Act as 3rd man on sites where necessary.
  12. Process the return of decommissioned equipment to company stores.
  13. Provide ad-hoc reports on technical and/or field issues as necessary.

Requirements:

  1. No formal qualifications required
  2. Driving licence & own transport required
  3. IT qualification an advantage
  4. Must show ability and willingness to work at height (i.e. on rooftops)
  5. Willing to travel & work away from home/overnight during the week (UK Based)
  6. Lone working
  7. A previous role in IT/electronics or communications will be beneficial
  8. RF, Rooftop access, Manual handling qualifications an advantage. Training will be provided.
