About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist school in Bexhill-On-Sea as a Waking Night Shift Support Worker. The role involves assisting children with complex SEN needs within their residential setting.

The school caters to students aged 5 to 19, including those with physical/medical and personal care needs. This total communication environment ensures that all students can express their wishes and staff respond accordingly.

The primary objective of this school is to provide integrated support, enabling pupils to achieve their potential and participate confidently and independently in the community.

Responsibilities
  1. Maintain health and safety requirements and adhere to care and support plans.
  2. Ensure personal care for all residents, promoting hygiene and cleanliness.
  3. Carry out domestic tasks.
  4. Keep documents and medical files up to date.
  5. Perform nighttime routines with the residents.
  6. Report any health or behavioral concerns regarding the individuals they support.
Requirements
  1. Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  2. A desire to work with children who have special educational needs.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary: £24,000 - £30,000 per annum.
