About the Position
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Learning Support Mentor to join our Construction Department. In this role, you will provide tailored support to students with additional needs, helping them to achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities
- Assisting students in learning environments, including reading, note-taking, and essential skills.
- Helping learners meet their EHCP outcomes and develop independence.
- Modifying classroom resources to accommodate individual learning needs.
- Providing support beyond the classroom, including breaks, trips, and off-campus study programmes.
- Maintaining accurate records of student attendance, targets, and progress.
What We're Looking For
- Experience supporting young people with learning difficulties or disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for inclusion and diversity.
- A proactive approach to adapting learning materials and meeting varied learner needs.
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
- GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and maths (grade C or above).
Salary and Benefits
This role comes with a competitive salary of £18,913 - £19,387 per annum, reflecting the importance of this position in supporting students with learning difficulties.
