Accommodation Support Specialist

RSR Housing, a member of the Red Snapper Group, is seeking a highly skilled Accommodation Support Specialist to join their team. As a specialist in this field, you will work closely with a caseload of adult males within a custodial or community environment.

Key responsibilities include completing initial assessments to understand the specific needs of each individual, creating tailored accommodation plans, and maintaining contact with participants to identify any emerging risks and concerns.

Our ideal candidate will have knowledge of homelessness legislation and experience working within the criminal justice sector. However, we also welcome applications from individuals who are eager to develop their skills and knowledge through on-site training and support.

This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary of £24,650 - £29,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of participants, producing personalised accommodation plans
  • Carry out initial assessments, considering risk, situation and need
  • Record progress and outcomes timely and accurately using case management system
  • Maintain contact with participants, identifying any emerging risks and concerns

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience and knowledge of housing legislation and options
  • Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Experience or knowledge of the work of the Criminal Justice System
  • Good organisation skills and ability to meet deadlines

This role will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check and the successful individual will be required to obtain and maintain these clearances.
