Job Summary:

The Site Services Operative - Cleaning and Maintenance role is a key position within the OCS Group, responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of designated facilities and outdoor areas. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, ability to work independently, and a strong commitment to customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks as per contract requirements and OCS standards, including sweeping, jetting, mopping, dusting, and emptying and cleaning smoking shelters.
  • Attend to minor spills and ensure prompt response to any incidents.
  • Conduct daily and weekly checks of skips and ensure they are properly segregated and prepared for despatch.
  • Drive company van and transport materials and equipment as required.
  • Provide a high level of customer service, including handling ad hoc enquiries from Helpdesk users and other customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Report completed jobs as per process and maintain accurate records.
  • Undertake other duties within the Site Services Team to cover the rota requirements.

Requirements:

  • A proven ability to work as a member of a team and use own initiative in a busy environment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Awareness of health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • A full and valid driving licence.
  • Compliance with the company's corporate environmental policy and statutory regulations on Safe Systems of Work, hygiene, Health and Safety, cleanliness, fire, COSHH, and site rules.
  • Willingness to input additional hours as per business requirements.
