The Role

This is a full-time home-based position, requiring regular attendance at laboratory sites. You will be responsible for driving adherence to quality systems, ensuring all accreditation statuses are met, and inspiring a culture of outstanding quality. Key responsibilities include:

  • Quality Systems Management: Ensure the laboratory's quality management system (QMS) is effective, efficient, and compliant with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Audit and Inspection Management: Coordinate and lead audits and inspections by regulatory bodies, customers, and internal stakeholders, addressing any findings or recommendations promptly.
  • Training and Development: Provide guidance, training, and support to laboratory staff on quality-related topics, including ISO 17025, auditing, and root cause analysis.
  • Quality Improvement Initiatives: Identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance laboratory processes, efficiency, and customer service.
  • Risk Management: Assess operational risks and implement mitigation measures to prevent non-conformances and ensure the continuity of quality services.

You will work closely with the Director of Technical and Quality to develop and implement quality improvement plans, aligning with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related discipline, combined with significant experience in quality management systems.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address complex issues effectively.
  • A 'can-do' attitude, with a passion for delivering high-quality results and driving continuous improvement.
