About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Audiologist to undertake hearing assessments of adults of all ages and cover all routine aspects of audiometric testing. As an Audiologist, you will conduct hearing aid assessments, fittings, validations and ongoing support of adults and families.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct hearing assessments of adults of all ages.
  • Undertake all routine aspects of audiometric testing, including audiometry, tympanometry and acoustic reflex testing.
  • Conduct hearing aid assessments, fittings, validations and ongoing support of adults and families.
  • Take aural impressions on patients of all ages, according to British Society of Audiology recommended procedures.
  • Undertake hearing aid validation using Real Ear Measurement systems and free field testing as appropriate.
  • Attend regular update meetings and training courses as required.
Requirements

  • Audiology or - BAAT (parts I&II) plus Btec Medical Physics & Physiological Measurement or - Dip HE in Audiology or - Equivalent qualification.
  • Eligible for registration with RCCP.
  • One year undergraduate placement in an Audiology Department as part of the Audiology Degree OR one year experience of working in NHS audiology.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate complex clinical information to the hearing impaired, their families and carers.
  • Ability to use computerised patient management system.
  • Good time management skills, good organisational skills and good written communication.
