Job Summary:
We are seeking an ambitious and commercially focused Accountant to join our team as an Assistant Finance Manager. As a key member of our finance function, you will play a vital role in supporting the Senior Finance Manager and Senior Account Director with various tasks, including producing monthly management accounts, weekly flash reports, and business partnering with senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary on performance against budget and forecast.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and implement controls to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Commercial Projects: Support the Senior Finance Manager and Senior Account Director with ad-hoc commercial projects, identifying areas for process improvement and driving efficiencies across the finance function.
- Business Partnering: Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, providing commercial insights and supporting business growth initiatives.
Requirements:
- Accounting Qualification: Part-qualified or finalist accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with a strong commercial acumen and business partnering skills.
- Experience: Assistant Management Accountant or Management Accountant in a fast-paced environment, with experience in stakeholder interaction and commercial finance.
- Skills: Ambitious, strong commercial acumen, proven business partnering skills, and ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
