Plant Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Hartlepool. As a key member of the maintenance function, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of plant equipment across various sites in the UK.
Key responsibilities include:
- Fault finding and repair of mechanical components such as hydraulic power packs, conveyors, bearings, shafts, pulleys, and gearboxes.
- Basic electrical work including fault finding and cable management.
- Operating and maintaining heavy machinery including shredders, shears, presses, magnetic cranes, and mobile plant equipment.
- Performing routine PPM checks, reactive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
A successful candidate will have a recognised mechanical or engineering qualification, experience working with heavy machinery, and a flexible mindset.
The company offers a competitive salary of £44,500 per annum, plus excellent benefits including an annual bonus, contribution pension, and opportunity for career progression.
