About the Job

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Early Years professional to join our team at MIChild Group as a Nursery Deputy Manager. This role will involve providing support to the nursery manager, leading by example, and ensuring high-quality care and education for children.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the EYFS, experience working with children and families, and a proven track record in Safeguarding procedures. They will also possess excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with parents and outside agencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the nursery manager on a daily basis to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Work closely with the nursery team to maintain exceptional standards of care and education.
  • Make informed decisions regarding the day-to-day running of the nursery, including staff supervision and performance management.
  • Follow all administrative procedures and policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a positive role model for other staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Assist in training and development programs, contributing to the growth and advancement of the team.
  • Ensure the nursery meets the minimum good standard required by the EYFS, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Monitor safeguarding issues and prepare the nursery for Ofsted inspections, maintaining a safe and secure environment for children.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in Childcare or related field, with significant experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the EYFS, with a strong understanding of Safeguarding procedures and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with parents and external partners.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a focus on collaboration and mutual support.
  • A strong commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, with a desire to continually improve practice and outcomes.
