Childcare Deputy Manager Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team at Heathside Nursery in Runcorn as a Childcare Deputy Manager. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, be highly organized and flexible, and have excellent knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Safeguarding procedures.
About the Job
The successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with the nursery manager on a daily basis and providing support to the team. They will work closely with the nursery staff to ensure high-quality care and education for children, making decisions on the day-to-day running of the nursery in the absence of a Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with the nursery manager on a daily basis and provide support to the team.
- Work as part of the nursery team to ensure high-quality care and education for children.
- Making decisions on the day-to-day running of the nursery in the absence of a Manager.
- Follow all administrative procedures and policies.
- Be a positive role model to other staff members.
- Assist in training staff and attend management team meetings.
- Ensure the nursery meets the requirements set out in the EYFS to a minimum good standard.
- Monitor safeguarding issues and prepare the nursery for Ofsted inspections.
Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification in Childcare or related field.
- Excellent knowledge of the EYFS and experience working with children and families.
- Extensive knowledge of Safeguarding procedures.
- Experience of working in partnership with parents and outside agencies.
- Previous room supervisor/deputy manager experience in a nursery environment.
