Join Our Team:

At Blue Arrow - Derby, we are looking for a skilled joiner to join our team. As a joiner, you will be responsible for carrying out repairs, maintenance, and planned improvement duties across the University's estate. This is a great opportunity to work on various projects and develop your skills in joinery and carpentry.

Main Responsibilities:
• Carry out a full range of repairs, maintenance, and planned improvement duties with an emphasis on multi-skilled works across the University's estate.
• Change and fit door hinges, intumescent strips, and adjust gaps in doors to ensure they are sealed correctly in case of a fire.
• Install drop-down seals, replace handles, and perform carpentry and joinery work.
• Work within relevant Health and Safety legislation and guidelines when carrying out work.

Requirements:
• Hardworking and team player able to work outdoors.
• Own tools and experience in first and second fix joinery, bench machinery, reading construction drawings, and working as a Joiner.
• Ability to communicate effectively, follow directions, and adapt to pick up a variety of tasks as instructed by management.
• Substantial post-qualification experience and ability to work 24/7 emergency 'call out' service on a 52-week rota system.

Salary: £16.02 per hour paid weekly.
