About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated individual to support our community awareness efforts in the Belfast and Greater Belfast area. As a representative of Alzheimer's Society, you will play a vital role in ensuring that people who are worried about or affected by dementia are aware of the support and advice services we offer.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting local events and information stands to raise awareness about dementia and our services
  • Displaying leaflets in highly visible locations, such as libraries and GP surgeries, to ensure the information publicised in your community is up to date and accurate
  • Establishing connections with local organisations and community groups to help achieve widespread awareness of our support

As a valued member of our team, you will receive branded clothing and may have the opportunity to be included in event pictures to showcase our work in the local media.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in your community and contribute to our mission to support people affected by dementia.

The role will be carried out within the Belfast and Greater Belfast area, and you will have the opportunity to volunteer at different events and venues across the region.

We also invite you to join our Volunteer Awareness Raising and Fundraising Group, which meets every other month to discuss plans and meet other volunteers involved in awareness raising and fundraising activities.
