Career Coach and Employment Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Career Coach and Employment Specialist to join our team at ENGINEERINGUK. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in coaching and empowering individuals to achieve their employment goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with participants to identify barriers and create action plans to secure meaningful employment.
- Meet and exceed performance targets by continuously improving strategies and seeking input to deliver the best outcomes for participants and the wider community.
- Signpost participants to internal and external services that address needs such as debt management, mental health, and career coaching.
- Ensure participants have well-crafted, professional CVs, tailored supporting statements, and cover letters to support job searches.
- Prepare participants for interviews by conducting mock interviews and assessment activities, and helping them build confidence in their abilities.
- Maintain accurate electronic participant records that reflect the broad spectrum of support offered, from coaching through to employment placement, within the required timescales and to the required standards.
Requirements
- Experience working in fast-paced environments.
- The ability to motivate, inspire, and challenge participants to achieve their fullest potential.
- Strong experience in delivering against and exceeding performance targets and engaging participants in personal growth and mindset transformation driving positive change.
- Exceptional communication skills - inspire and influence participants while addressing their diverse needs with flexibility, robustness, and creativity, as well as contacting employers and other external stakeholders to identify opportunities for participants.
- Flexible and creative in solving complex challenges.
- High-level digital literacy.
- Excellent organisational skills - able to manage a varied caseload and deliver exceptional support while juggling multiple priorities.
