We are seeking a highly effective and dedicated teacher to deliver curriculum subjects to students within a specialist school in Witham.
The school caters to the needs of mixed-sex pupils aged 4 to 19 with a range of needs, including ASD, MLD, SLD, and SEMH. This well-resourced school has a high ratio of student to staff with small class sizes and a curriculum tailored to meet the needs of the children and young people.
The school provides meaningful, positive, and personalized educational opportunities for dis-engaged pupils who are being prepared to be reintegrated back into mainstream settings. Within this education setting, residential and therapeutic practitioners work collaboratively with a focus on promoting students' well-being, encouraging resilience, and supporting their holistic growth.
The school delivers full-time education and covers both academic and vocational subjects in line with national benchmarks. We deliver differentiated teaching and learning activities within small groups in a purpose-built environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver curriculum subjects to students with SEMH needs
- Develop and implement personalized learning plans to meet the needs of students
- Work collaboratively with residential and therapeutic practitioners to promote students' well-being and resilience
Requirements:
- QTS/QTLS/Degree in a relevant subject
- Experience working with students with SEMH needs
- Strong pedagogical skills and ability to adapt to different learning styles
