Job Description
**Role Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team in Witham. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with learning difficulties/disabilities.
**Responsibilities**
* Assist students in mainstream classes, small groups, and 1-1 settings to support their achievement and progress.
* Motivate and encourage students to engage in their learning.
* Develop and implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and engagement.
* Work closely with teachers and other staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
**Requirements**
* A good understanding of SEND and experience working with children with learning difficulties or disabilities.
* Experience working with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties) or a willingness to undertake training to support children in this key area.
* Excellent literacy and numeracy skills, including Maths and English GCSE graded 4 (or equivalent).
* The ability to motivate and encourage students.
* Great communication skills.
