Job Title: Sales / Estimating Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Sales / Estimating Engineer with CNC Machining knowledge to join our Sales team on a full-time, permanent basis.

About the Role:

As a Sales / Estimating Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our growing sales team. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving, reviewing, and responding to customer RFQs and technical queries.
  • Creating timely and accurate estimates and quotations from customer enquiries and technical drawings.
  • Liaising with customers over the phone and via email, providing a client-centric service.
  • Producing quotations to deadlines, estimating all machining, materials, and inspection times for in-house elements and incorporating externally sourced elements such as sub-contract when applicable.
  • Developing new and existing supplier relationships.
  • Understanding and identifying machining methods of manufacture and selecting accurate cycle times (CNC Turning & Boring experience a distinct advantage).
  • Liaising with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive experience within precision engineering with extensive knowledge of machine capabilities / machining practices.
  • The ability to read and translate technical drawings.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communicative, listening, and negotiation skills.
  • A pride in your work and a keen interest in the company's resulting performance.
  • Loyalty, commitment, and drive to enhance the performance of the business.
  • Ability to use your own initiative as well as working collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise.
Working Hours:

40 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8.00am - 5.00pm, Friday 8.00am - 2:30pm.
