Job Title: Sales/Estimating Engineer

Our client, a leading manufacturer of precision components, is seeking a skilled Sales/Estimating Engineer to join their team in Leighton Buzzard. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to leverage their expertise in CNC machining and sales to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and respond to customer RFQs and technical queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Create accurate estimates and quotations from customer enquiries and technical drawings.
  • Liaise with customers to provide a client-centric service, addressing technical and non-technical questions.
  • Produce quotations to deadlines, estimating machining, materials, and inspection times for in-house elements and incorporating externally sourced elements.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in precision engineering with knowledge of machine capabilities and machining practices.
  • Ability to read and translate technical drawings.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail are essential for success.
  • Computer literacy and excellent interpersonal, communicative, listening, and negotiation skills.
  • Pride in work and a keen interest in the company's performance.
  • Loyalty, commitment, and drive to enhance business performance.
  • Ability to use initiative and work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize.
