Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee welding and quality-related activities on sites throughout the UK, requiring travel and working away from home regularly, sometimes for several weeks.
  2. Office-based work reviewing contract requirements, drawings, and welding requirements.
  3. Welding inspection and general quality control of all site-based activities.
  4. Communicate with clients, engineers, and subcontract technicians (NDT, heat treatment, etc.) to facilitate cooperation and ensure successful project completion.
  5. Provide support to supervisors, engineers, and managers throughout the group.
  6. Confirm customer satisfaction.
  7. Manage and assist site management teams with site welding QA activities, including inspection, monitoring, material and consumable traceability, and compilation of comprehensive quality documentation packs.
  8. Audit sub-contractor QA documentation.
  9. Carry out non-conformance investigations and recommend corrective actions.
  10. Ensure a satisfactory quality interface up and down the company supply chain.
  11. Work with different companies within the group to manage quality-related issues.
