Currie & Brown Group Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Cost Consultant to join our Manchester office. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing expert cost advice and support to our clients across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Provide accurate and timely cost advice and reporting to clients
- Deliver projects and commissions with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail
- Assume a leading role in setting objectives and priorities, working collaboratively with the team to achieve successful outcomes
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery
- Supervise and mentor junior team members to ensure their growth and development
- Undertake commercial management services with minimal supervision
- Deliver high-quality work outputs in a timely and efficient manner
- Support the team leader in cost management of projects and represent the company in a professional manner
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS)
- Private sector experience, preferably in offices, residential, hospitality, major projects, fit-out, and refurbishment
- Proficiency in CostX or other cost planning software
- Sustainability and data skills, including carbon assessment and Power BI
- Pre- and post-contract experience
- Excellent technical writing, client-facing, and communication skills
- Well-organized, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined, and commercially astute
- A team player with a 'can-do' attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful, and flexible
