Teaching Personnel is currently working with a reputable Partnership School, seeking a full-time SEN Wellbeing Tutor to join their expanding team.

We are looking for an individual with a strong understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN), based in or around the Towcester/Silverstone area. The successful candidate will provide invaluable support to our pupils, contributing towards meeting their academic, social, behavioural, and emotional needs.

The role involves providing support and supervision for pupils aged 11-16, encouraging their engagement in the learning process and working towards agreed aims and objectives. You will work as part of a team to plan and teach clear, high-quality lessons, supporting pupils to make good or outstanding progress.

This is a full-time position, working from 8:30am to 4pm, Monday to Friday during term time. We are accepting applications for an immediate start or for roles starting after a suitable notice period.

An estimated salary for this position is £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Responsibilities
  • Support vulnerable young people aged 11 – 16 years, helping to raise their emotional wellbeing and aspirations to learn.
  • Work with pupils 1-2-1 off the school site on intervention days.
  • Develop an understanding of safeguarding and prioritise it at all times.
  • Implement strategies to support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties, developing an understanding of their Special Educational Needs.
  • Manage behaviour positively and in line with each pupil's Behaviour Support Plan.
  • Provide specific support dependent upon individual needs, ensuring their safety while supporting access to learning activities.
  • Deliver small sections of the learning programme to individual pupils, as directed by teaching staff.
  • Create and maintain a purposeful and supportive environment for pupils.
