Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Shift Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Woking. As a critical member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational effectiveness and reliability of plant and associated electrical and mechanical systems. Your primary focus will be on carrying out Predictive Maintenance (PPM) tasks in accordance with set schedules and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Carry out PPM tasks in accordance with set schedules and procedures.
  2. Maintain accurate records/documentation associated with the Electrical and Mechanical aspects of the PPM and plant.
  3. Respond promptly and effectively to all Electrical and Mechanical related reactive maintenance issues and help desk requests.
  4. Coordinate initial actions associated with all requests from the client.
  5. Coordinate visiting specialist Subcontractors associated with Electrical and Mechanical aspects of the PPM schedules.
  6. Respond to call outs and cover breakdowns and emergencies associated with the Electrical and Mechanical services aspects of the contract as required.
  7. Fault diagnosis associated with the PPM or Reactive maintenance of the site.
  8. Repair and maintenance of lighting and distribution systems.
  9. Assist other trades as necessary.
  10. Provide reports in relation to work and equipment and as required.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

Essential

  • C&G part 1 & 2 (Electrical Installation 2360) or recognized equivalent.
  • Health and Safety Training including knowledge of Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
  • GCSE (or 'O' Level equivalent) passes in Maths and English or recognized equivalent.
  • Experience with similar maintenance duties including fault diagnosis, rectification.
  • Experience in the Electrical aspects of general building PPM schedules.
  • Experienced in Electrical Installation work, plus electrical testing and inspection.
  • A good understanding of Building Critical and Non-Critical Systems.
  • Knowledge in CAFM PPM Management System (Concept) via handheld PDA.
