Freelance Interpreter Required for UK Assignments

We are seeking a skilled interpreter to join our team at Language Empire, providing professional interpreting and translation services to the public and private sectors across the UK.

As a freelance interpreter, you will work with various settings such as the NHS, Local Authorities, Police, Probation, and other public and private organisations, interpreting for people using legal, health, and local government services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Interpreting for non-English speakers with 100% accuracy
  • Checking understanding after each sentence
  • Conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting
  • Dealing with confidential information
  • Liaising between service users and providers

Requirements:

  • Fluent in English and another language
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Aged 21 or over
  • Formal qualifications such as DPSI, Community Interpreting, or degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
