About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Health Play Specialist to join our team as a Deputy Play and Youth Services Manager. This is a senior leadership role that will play a key part in the development and delivery of our therapeutic play and youth services.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience of working with children and young people in a healthcare setting, and will be able to lead and manage a team of staff to deliver high-quality services. They will also have a strong understanding of the importance of play and recreation in the treatment and care of children and young people.

The role will involve working closely with the Lead for Therapeutic Play and Youth Services, and other members of the leadership team, to develop and implement strategies for the growth and improvement of our services. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing the referral service, staffing rotas, and health roster.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about play and recreation, and who has a strong commitment to delivering high-quality services to children and young people. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of staff to deliver high-quality therapeutic play and youth services
  • Develop and implement strategies for the growth and improvement of our services
  • Manage the referral service, staffing rotas, and health roster
  • Work closely with the Lead for Therapeutic Play and Youth Services and other members of the leadership team
Requirements
  • Registered and qualified Health Play Specialist
  • Extensive experience of working with children and young people in a healthcare setting
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and manage competing priorities
