About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Legal Specialist to join our team at MBDA. As a trusted advisor, you will play a key role in providing commercially orientated legal advice to our business, ensuring that we operate with minimum acceptable risk and avoid taking on risks that could have a material financial and/or reputational impact on the Company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice on contractual terms, disputes, employment, intellectual property, regulatory issues, competition law, treasury matters, and company secretarial duties.
  • Engage and manage external legal support within approved budgets.
  • Promote effective corporate governance and conduct horizon scanning to advise on legal and regulatory change.
Requirements
  • Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with 2-5 years' experience.
  • Academic qualifications of LLB, BA (Law) and above, with PQE.
  • Experience working in a private practice law firm, with in-house Legal team experience an advantage.
  • Strong drafting, legal analysis, and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to generate commercial risk-based solutions.
