Job Title: Junior Legal Adviser

MBDA is seeking a qualified and experienced Junior Legal Adviser to join our team in Stevenage. This is an exceptional opportunity to be part of a dynamic organisation that is at the forefront of technological innovation in the defence industry.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented and motivated Junior Legal Adviser to provide commercially orientated legal advice to our UK business and colleagues abroad. As a trusted member of our UK Legal Team, you will assist various stakeholders, including the senior management team, and work closely with our international legal team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice on contractual terms, disputes, employment, intellectual property, regulatory issues, competition law, treasury matters, and company secretarial duties.
  • Assist in the provision of training to the Procurement and Commercial functions on contractual terms and conditions.
  • Engage and manage external legal support, where required, within approved budgets.
  • Promote effective corporate governance and conduct horizon scanning to advise on legal and regulatory change.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with 2-5 years' experience.
  • Academic qualifications of LLB, BA (Law) and above, with PQE.
  • Experience working in a private practice law firm, with in-house Legal team experience an advantage.
  • Strong drafting, legal analysis, and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to generate commercial risk-based solutions.
