Healthcare Support Worker Position

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Malvern Community Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality care to patients and making a positive impact in their lives.
As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to achieve specific rehabilitation goals and provide safe and effective care to patients within the community hospital. Your duties will include assisting with admitting patients to the ward, undertaking clinical procedures, carrying out delegated nursing care, and providing support to patients with daily living activities.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist with admitting patients to the ward and provide support to patients with daily living activities
• Undertake clinical procedures following assessment of competencies by qualified senior members of staff
• Carry out delegated nursing care and provide safe and effective practice to patients within the community hospital
• Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to achieve specific rehabilitation goals
• Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families

Requirements
• Level 2 qualification in care or a good standard of general education to GCSE level and willingness to undertake the relevant Level 2 qualification on appointment to post
• Basic knowledge of nursing adults and/or training
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English in both verbal and written formats
• A flexible and adaptable approach to work and a willingness to work as part of a team
• Empathetic caring nature and ability to work with patients from diverse backgrounds
Estimated Salary: £25,657 - £30,402 per annum (dependent on experience)
