Electrical Design Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at HR GO Recruitment - Bishop's Stortford. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and optimising electrical systems and components for our range of processing and packaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems for processing and packaging equipment, including control panels, wiring layouts and electrical schematics.
  • Generate detailed electrical drawings and documentation using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into mechanical and software designs.
  • Conduct electrical testing and troubleshooting during product development and production phases.
  • Ensure electrical designs meet all relevant legislation/standards specific to the project.
Requirements:
  • Qualified to HNC/HND standard or above preferably in an electrical engineering related subject.
  • Proven experience in electrical design, preferably within the food / processing or packaging industry.
  • Practical electrical wiring experience.
  • Mechanical experience would also be beneficial.
  • Previous electrical CAD software and electrical design tools experience (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN).
