About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pension Technical Specialist to join our team at Alexander Lloyd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering benefit correction projects, with a focus on GMP related projects.

This is an exciting opportunity for a pensions professional to utilise their project management and technical pension skills in a dynamic and growing team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support a range of clients, working closely with Client Managers and Scheme Actuaries to deliver benefit correction projects.
  • Own and manage processes, including data cleanse and project delivery, to ensure smooth implementation.
  • Handle end-to-end aspects of benefit correction projects, collaborating across teams to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Check and review correction calculations and contribute to report production, providing high-quality results.
  • Manage the process of GMP comparisons between Scheme and HMRC records, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Oversee GMP equalisation models and manage implementation for pension correction exercises, driving business growth.
  • Prepare progress updates and review client reports, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
About You
  • Qualifications: A technical pensions background is essential, although candidates from a pensions administration background will also be considered.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, numerical, and critical thinking skills, with an understanding of actuarial approaches for pensions.
  • Experience:
  • GMP Equalisation experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience managing projects and familiarity with pension administration systems are desirable.
