About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pension Technical Specialist to join our team at Alexander Lloyd. As a Pension Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering benefit correction projects, with a particular focus on GMP related projects.

This is an exciting opportunity for a pension professional looking to utilise their project management and technical pension skills. You will work closely with client managers and scheme actuaries to support a range of clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage processes, including data cleanse and project delivery.
  • Handle end-to-end aspects of benefit correction projects, collaborating across teams to ensure smooth implementation.
  • Check and review correction calculations and contribute to report production.
  • Manage the process of GMP comparisons between Scheme and HMRC records.
  • Oversee GMP equalisation models and manage implementation for pension correction exercises.
  • Prepare progress updates and review client reports.

About You

  • Qualifications: Technical pensions background, though candidates from a pensions administration background will also be considered.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, numerical, and critical thinking skills with an understanding of actuarial approaches for pensions.
  • Experience: GMP equalisation experience is preferred but not essential. Experience managing projects and familiarity with pension administration systems are desirable.
