National Account Manager Role Overview

The National Account Manager will be responsible for managing key relationships with Convenience and Wholesale customers, driving commercial growth and developing strategic partnerships. This role will involve balancing customer requirements with the support of a cross-functional selling team, ensuring seamless execution and delivery of customer objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute customer account plans to drive volume growth and profitability
  • Negotiate pricing, promotions, and account planning to meet customer needs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their business needs and market dynamics
  • Lead internal business planning and stakeholder management to ensure alignment and effective execution
  • Drive negotiation of new product listings and distribution extensions for existing products
  • Evaluate promotional effectiveness and optimize customer strategies
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Proven experience in UK account management, preferably in a retail FMCG brand environment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to demonstrate NSV growth achievement and a strong drive for further growth
  • Strategic capability, strong internal networks, and cross-functional relationship building skills
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and difficult customer conversations
  • Degree-educated (or equivalent)
