Job Title: Cleaning Team Leader

Location: Capital One, Nottingham

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 20 hours per week

Pay Rate: Competitive hourly rate

Role Overview and Purpose

As a Cleaning Team Leader at ABM, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality cleaning services to our clients. You will be responsible for assisting team members with the use of cleaning equipment and tools, providing guidance and support to ensure that all areas are cleaned to the highest standards.

In the absence of the supervisor, you will be required to take on additional responsibilities, including shift management, assigning tasks, and maintaining the overall quality of work. You will also be responsible for the upkeep of cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring that all areas are well-maintained and that all necessary checks are carried out.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all work is completed to the expected high standard
  • Provide support and encouragement to team members
  • Maintain a close relationship with the evening supervisor and participate in daily briefings
  • Report any concerns or feedback from team members to the supervisor
  • Maintain constant communication with the supervisor through company-issued radios
  • Assist with the delivery of training, toolbox talks, and meetings

Required Skills and Experience

  • Cleaning experience is essential
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, with good written and spoken English
  • Basic IT skills are essential
  • Ability to work to set schedules and on own initiative
  • Flexible and proactive attitude is essential
  • Understanding and knowledge of health and safety policies
  • Ability to represent ABM values on site, being presentable, uniformed, and helpful at all times
  • Experience of coordinating a range of tasks and individuals
  • Ability to follow company policies and procedures
  • Confirm that those under their supervision have received training appropriate to their needs and that safety considerations are integrated into this training
  • Ensure that the work environment and equipment are safe and well-maintained
  • Identify and correct hazardous conditions
  • Monitor compliance with risk assessments, enforce control measures, and stop anyone who fails to comply

  • IOSHH Managing Working Safely
  • First Aid Certificate
