Our client, a new independent SEN school, is seeking an exceptional SEN Teacher to join their team as a Pathway Lead. This is a full-time permanent opportunity based in Hillingdon, offering a salary of up to £60,000 per annum.

As an SEN Teacher, you will plan engaging sessions to maximise learner engagement and potential. You will develop and implement Personalised Learning Plans (PLPs) for each student and collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents. You will be responsible for a pathway, providing direct line management for the classes within the pathway, and will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to review the quality of education and oversee pastoral and positive behaviour strategies to improve engagement and learning within the pathway.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience teaching SEN children, particularly those with severe learning difficulties and autism
  • Experience working with the EQUALS curriculum (beneficial)
  • Experience with non-linear developmental assessment frameworks (e.g., Routes for Learning, SCERTS) (beneficial)
  • A passion for working with SEN children
  • Ability to line manage teachers and teaching assistants
  • Excellent communication skills, organisation, and punctuality
